Shutters for bay windows
A bay is several windows at angles to each other. Each one gets its own shutter, built so the rails and louvers line up across the whole bay.
Measuring a bay
- Treat each window in the bay as its own opening and measure it on its own.
- Note whether the sides meet the centre window at a corner post or a plain angle. Corner posts give each frame something flat to sit against.
- Measure the depth of each opening. Louvers need room to tilt without hitting the glass or the handles.
- If you want the rails to line up across the bay, enter the same divider or café height on every window in the designer.
Add the bay to the designer as separate windows named “Bay left”, “Bay centre” and “Bay right” so we can check them as a set.
