California or plantation?

In Canada most people say California shutters; in the US, plantation shutters. Both mean interior shutters with tilting louvers in a hinged frame. Some sellers reserve “California” for narrower louvers, which is why we list the louver width on every order instead of relying on the name.

64 mm (2.5 in)	Small windows and a traditional look. More louvers, so less view when open.
89 mm (3.5 in)	The middle ground most windows suit.
114 mm (4.5 in)	Large windows and doors. Fewest louvers and the widest view when open, but the window needs more depth.

Each is built with flat moulding, paint stage 1, 3½ in louvers, in American poplar. Before tax and shipping. Moulding, paint, louver size and colour change the price, and the designer shows it as you choose.

Yes. The designer accepts millimetres or inches. We build to your numbers either way.

Do you ship across Canada?

Yes, everywhere except Quebec for now. Quebec orders open once our French site is ready.

Are quotes in Canadian dollars?
