Older door openings
74% of homes are decades old, and older door openings settle. Measure the width at the top, middle and bottom; a mounting frame gives the track a straight line to run on.
Balcony doors
With 44% of homes in multi-unit buildings, many patio doors here open onto a balcony. Bifold panels fold back in pairs and need little floor space; check what your HOA or building allows to show through the glass.
Afternoon sun
86 days a year reach 90°F. Louvers tilted up block high sun while still letting you see out, which a curtain or vertical blind can't do.
