When I think back on my childhood memories, I remember being obsessed with playing video games. California shutter materials and styles:
Before deciding on any particular style for your shutters, ask yourself why shutters are called “California” shutters. Why did California become synonymous with shutters when many other states use different kinds of weatherproofing solutions? Because California shutters are typically designed and built according to certain standards and regulations. Most often, manufacturers will specify specific measurements, such as width, height and depth. But they don’t necessarily follow strict industry guidelines, either. Some even offer custom options and allow customers to design their own panels. California shutters tend to fall somewhere in the middle of both extremes. For example, some models have fixed, permanent installations, whereas others can fit anywhere you want them to go. Some feature solid wood frames and trim work, while others rely purely on plastic extrusion parts or vinyl skins.

To install the most effective product selection and installation method possible, follow these guidelines…
1. We recommend no less than 2 hours per window should be spent measuring and marking every location prior to starting work. Even after taking care of this step, some inaccuracies will still occur during field measurements due to weather conditions, sunlight shining through windows, shadows cast by adjacent buildings, etc. Our technicians take great pride in ensuring accuracy and precision while working inside homes and offices across the US.

3. When calculating finished siding length, allow 1 inch either side of framing channel which is usually located approximately ½” down from stud.
4. Cut each piece of vinyl according to measured lengths provided by estimator. Do NOT trim any pieces shorter than needed.
5. Each shuttering system requires individual attention; therefore, it’s recommended that a single installer complete all job orders of varying sizes. Be certain of required cut length, install proper materials, lay out cuts properly, then adjust and rework as appropriate once installed.
6. Installers must use quality adhesive tape along seams and corners. Never attempt to pull nails used to secure shuttering systems. Do not ever pry shuttering apart without first removing fasteners. All hardware supplied includes screws designed specifically for this type of project. To save yourself unnecessary aggravation and frustration, please refer to detailed instructions provided with every order and pay close attention to the video instruction provided via email upon completion of your project.
7. During testing phase, ensure vinyl is smooth and tacky. Allow several minutes for initial drying time following application. Keep track of times and temperatures taken during the entire process, since every home environment differs significantly.
