In this article I will be showing you my personal experience installing a custom made maple ridge home shuttered window. We had been living in Maple Ridge BC since 2010.
When moving back to Vancouver after 8+ years away, we decided to purchase a house in Maple Ridge because Maple Ridge is located near Downtown Vancouver (15 mins), and it was cheaper than buying a similar place anywhere else in Metro Vancouver (Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby).
We purchased a 3 bedroom condo unit at Westridge Place. Our apartment complex has 2 floors, each floor having 4 condos that are connected together via shared common areas like the laundry rooms, gymnasiums, party rooms/kitchenettes, and parking lots. There is only 1 elevator in total which connects both floors.

I wanted to install some type of shutters on a few windows. My first idea was to use blinds but then I remembered California Shutters. We just received word today from some folks from one of Canada’s largest banks regarding their decision to go 100% paperless back in March. They had recently upgraded their IT system including replacing ALL PC laptops with iPads. This has created many problems and frustrations for staff since they work completely remotely and use email for everything.
