Many are convinced that because you can still peel paint away from old wooden doors, floors, cabinets or decking, that vinyl won’t suffer the same fate. Not only will you lose the original appearance of these materials but you could easily end up spending thousands upon thousands of dollars replacing everything should you decide you don’t love what you purchased in the first place. And trust me, you’ll notice it quickly, especially indoors, where your eyes aren’t trained as closely as outdoor surfaces tend to be inspected. Once a window in your home begins showing signs of fading, you’ll realize it was already wearing thin during its prime, and then sooner rather than later it’ll fall apart entirely under certain conditions.
