1) Measure Your Window Frames: First, determine the width & height of each of your window frames. Then, multiply the width by 4/8ths to get the length.

This summer I decided to install some shutters in my NYC apartment because I was tired of seeing beautiful homes on Instagram full of their amazing shuttered windows. But, they weren’t just being used for decoration — these trendy designs could be protecting the house against heat gain during this hot season. So without further ado, here is my favorite type of windows that will protect your home/condominium while keeping the view incredible. These wooden shutters come in many styles and wood types, including premium lumberwood, redwood, cypress boards, reclaimed barn board, cedar, teak, cherry boards, etc. All this makes them perfect for both residential and commercial applications across North America.
We recently added another style to our range, which includes 3 types, single hung, double hung & sliding panels. However, each model still offers the same benefits; great design, strength, durability, weather resistance & energy efficiency. They are made using solid poplar veneer – making them highly resistant to warping, splintering and rot. And yes, we did say ‘solid”, meaning no glass between you and those gorgeous views! The only difference is whether you prefer having double doors or single door. Double Doors provide additional privacy. Plus, it gives the homeowners extra security since you wont see through the doors unless you really need to enter the property. Single Door – If you dont like the idea of having strangers walking down the street peering inside your window, then you should consider installing a single door instead of double doors. We use standard 5″ x 2 7/8″ slits cut with sawzall. When installed correctly, they blend seamlessly with your existing windows and frame giving the outside world a seamless and unobstructed view. Our Sliding Panels are designed specifically for small spaces and apartments. Like our other products, they are super strong and built to withstand heavy snow loads. Not everyone needs a sliding panel though (most buildings are constructed well enough to support a heavy snow load), but if yours isn’t, or if you live somewhere prone to high winds (like Seattle, Houston or Florida), these panels will help prevent severe damage caused by wind loading.

For example; “how high quality are they going to be after being installed and finished?”
