Wooden Shutters
These beautiful windows are made out of either solid oak, pine, mahogany, cherry, cedar and other woods. Their appearance gives them a classic rustic feel which makes them perfect for modern home design. 1) Pick up phone/call handyman to come measure your window(s). Be ready to show him exactly why you’d like these shutters installed and what style you’re going for. If he says “that’s great!” then move forward.
2) He’ll call his crew to schedule a date and confirm payment for service. They generally charge $250-$300 per job depending on how many panels you order. I would suggest doing this via text message instead of calling just incase this person isn’t comfortable answering phones. Some people hate talking on the phone while some people find it easier than writing text messages, lol. Either way should work though. Once you get a contract signed the rest is easy… 3) Hang a few pictures around your house, take photos, and upload them onto Shutterboys’ website (I used Dropbox since I’m an affiliate for them. However, it’s totally okay to use whatever method works for you)
4) When the day arrives pick up the package of shingles and pay the $150 delivery fee. Then wait until next week to receive your first box containing everything else (it’s typically 1 large cardboard container with 2 smaller boxes inside). 5) Open the smaller boxes inside the larger one to reveal your beautiful custom shutters and accessories waiting to become yours.
6) Clean it up if necessary or leave it messy, whichever makes you happy. 7) Hang them out! 8) Enjoy the view! 9) Repeat steps 4 thru 7 every 3 months (or whenever it looks good!)
