1. Wooden shutters are made mostly of pine while vinyl shutters are usually manufactured from PVC film/plastic material. One thing to consider with wooden shutters is they aren’t always weatherproofed meaning they will be vulnerable during heavy rain storms.

As opposed to being color stable, many wood products eventually lose their luster, which makes them appear duller than they truly are.
