From my latest trip overseas for work, I had a great experience visiting Thailand. Since going back home, I keep thinking back the places I saw while traveling, especially around Chiang Mai city center. Most people would say the food culture is really Thai; however, I found the hospitality was truly European. While having lunch outside during lunch hour, I kept seeing French food carts populating the area. After asking what type of food they serve, the guys behind replied they mostly served pizza. Well, guess what? They actually had pizza in boxes instead of delivery boxes (yes, I ordered pizza twice!). One thing, though, to note is none of these pizzas was delivered by Uber Eats. Instead, the men just took orders from customers standing beside the carts and placed pies in plastic bags upon receiving payment. In fact, several shops nearby did the same thing. However, since I’m used to ordering Chinese takeaway, after asking directions, the guy directed me to Pizza Hut which looked similar. On top of that, he brought his own bag to put the pie inside. My first reaction? So many things sound weird to me!
Nonetheless, I must admit it wasn’t bad either.
