In order to complete my video tutorial, I decided to use Unity 3d instead of Blender mainly due to the fact that Unity supports realtime rendering and as such it allowed me to get straight away with animating everything including lights, reflections, shadows etc. without needing to wait until render times finished like I had to do previously. Also I wanted to try something different so why not just jump right on board and take advantage of some amazing new tools such as the built in particle emitter system for example. Another huge plus was that Unity allows you to export scenes to many formats besides FBX and other 3D file types but the main reason though was that it would allow us to animate things easily in both Blender and Unity simultaneously.
