This summer some folks asked me if they could put a link on Instagram to one of my posts.
I was surprised because I thought “Instagram” was just a place kids did selfies and posted other things they liked or had no business posting anywhere else! My wife said I should be happy she noticed it and linked me, instead of someone who wouldn’t care about me doing something good. In 2018 I wrote “Best Motorized Cali Shutters For Your Home Or Business in 2020″ which was published on Dec 16th 2019. We’ve just updated this page with some amazing changes and updates including motorized options, remote controls and other things we haven’t shared yet.
If you own a home with shuttered windows, chances are you could use motorized shutters instead. While these types of blinds aren’t usually available for condos, they may be coming soon.
For example, in March 2020, we saw several reports showing that the company Blindly, who offers both DIY and professional installations of blinds for homes, said that they will begin selling motorized shutters by next fall.
Blindly is partnering with Komanek Industries, a leading manufacturer of window films and motorized shades for residential applications since 2014, according to the announcement.
Komanek’s products include solar shading systems and motorization solutions for windows and doors. This partnership should help Blindly expand sales opportunities to homeowners across North America.
We expect a lot in terms of innovation around the idea of making curtains or blinds operate automatically in response to daylight, temperature, humidity and air quality conditions. As these technologies develop, we hope homeowners have the choice of choosing whether to install them themselves or leave it up to professionals. But they tend to collect dust easily.

Made of vinyl plastic sheets, vinyl shutters are lightweight yet extremely strong and durable. They are available in numerous colors and designs. Their strength makes them ideal for homes located in cold climates.
