1. Wood-based Panel Shutters: These are by far the cheapest way to get started. Most manufacturers offer these panel shuttering kits where everything is already assembled and ready-to-go. Usually the hardware required includes 4 sets of hinges, 2 locks, 3 rails, 1 bottom rail and some type of weather stripping. All you must provide is the glass and door frame/door opening measurement(s). Depending on the style you select, most companies include 1/2″ thick top edge molding with every purchase.

These products tend to be less expensive than other choices, but also come with drawbacks. For those of you following my posts closely enough to read them all, you’ll notice I haven’t posted anything in quite some time. While there isn’t anything newsworthy going on in terms of tech (at least nothing that warrants attention outside my own little world), I am finally getting around to working on a few things I’ve had sitting on the back burner for far too long. One thing led to another and before I knew it, six months had passed like a lead weight dragging me ever downward until today. With less than five months left until my baby turns 1 (whew!), I finally got around to finishing her nursery. While the actual project wasn’t terribly complex, the end result turned out beautifully! When finished, she looked like a miniature version of myself except younger ?.
